Youtube feature on LG Phones

LG Electronics Co announced Tuesday it had signed an agreement with YouTube, the world's biggest video-sharing site, to develop a cell / mobile phone which can operate the YouTube service. The proposed setup will enable LG phone users to upload, view and share video clips or user-created content online freely without using computers to access YouTube.

For the upcoming YouTube-enabled handsets, LG will setup a new user interface for easily accessing and uploading video content. LG's YouTube-enabled handsets will be available worldwide starting at end of 2007.

LG first announced its new agreement to setup Google's services on its handsets in March 2007. As a first step in this new partnership, LG and Google have already setup the world's first HSDPA smartphone with Google / YouTube services pre-installed, the model mobile /cell LG-KS10, which has Google Search, Gmail Mobile, and Google Maps Mobile already. The LG-KS10 first hit shelves in Italy this past April, 2007.
